The Sadler Racing stable uncovered an exciting two year old in Yowie, a Vancouver filly out of well related Marishka, winning impressively on debut at Sandown this afternoon.
“She’s taken really good improvement from her most recent jump out at Pakenham and taken a really good step forward,” jockey Damien Lane said post race.
And a delighted John Sadler was full of praise. “We’ve always had a good opinion of her but you never know for sure. But just thrilled in the manner in which she did it .. she’s a very straightforward filly,” he said. “And we couldn’t be happier for owner David Digney, an enormous supporter of our stable.”
All going to plan, she’ll head to Caulfield in three week’s time for the Redoute’s Choice 2YO Listed progressing to 1100m.
